The Atlanta-based Hester recreates the aura of the rock idol onstage with all the joy of the diminutive Irish giant complete with kicks, shouts, struts… all the classic stage presence of the Belfast Cowboy.
Greg Hester captures all the subtle nuances of “Van the Man” as he tears through the best of his mighty songbook. Selections performed include of course, “Domino,” “Brown-Eyed Girl,” “Moondance,” “Tupelo Honey,” “Into the Mystic,” “Wild Night,” “Have I Told You Lately” and many others.

Born Gregory Hester in Augusta Georgia, Greg has crafted a unique mix of southern soul and jump-up-and-dance rock n’ roll. One can feel the conviction in his powerful voice, heartfelt lyrics and constant energy, all of which guides an audience ‘Into The Mystic’ as only he and Van the Man can.
A solo career that spans twenty-five years, Greg has worked opening spots for Sharon Jones, Five for Fighting, Johnny Winter, Warren Zevon, Hank Williams Jr., Commander Cody, Tuck and Patti, David Lindley, Robin Trower, Warren Haynes, and Tower of Power.
